Troubleshooting

On Google Workplace

If you get this error message

Check your credentials, settings and spelling. If these are correct go to this address and follow the instructions below:

Google Security settings
  1. Go to the Google Account for the respective email account

  2. Go to "Security" on the left side menu

  1. Make sure "Skip Password When Possible" is OFF

  2. If the “Application Passwords” section is not available in the Security page, click on the search bar on the top of the page and type: "APP PASSWORD".

  3. In the page that will appear, create a new app password.

  1. Use the generated password instead of your Gmail Account password in email configuration in SO. Remember not to copy/paste it directly as it contains spaces that need to be removed.
